Presentation Types
Authors were able to indicate their preferred presentation format when submitting an abstract.
The final decision on acceptances and on publication and presentation formats was at the discretion of the Organising Committee. All abstracts underwent a blind review.
There are two types of presentation formats. Presenters could select either 'Oral' or 'Poster', or 'Oral or Poster' if they wished to be considered for either. See below for further information on each of these presentation types.
An oral presentation delivered by one presenting author in a themed session for approximately 15 minutes. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation may be eligible for a poster presentation.
A poster presentation constitutes a visual display of your research project, presented
on a physical poster of A0 size in portrait orientation. If accepted, you will be required to be at your poster through your allocated poster session during lunch
on Thursday or Friday to discuss your work or answer any questions from fellow delegates.
The 24 top-scoring poster abstracts will be presented in digital format (only) with an
accompanying oral presentation (5 minutes total consisting of 3 minutes presentation
and 2 minutes question and answer time). These presentations will take place in the
dedicated digital poster presentation sessions in the exhibition hall during morning and
afternoon tea on Thursday, and morning tea on Friday.
Full details of the format and display of the posters will be shared within the acceptance notifications sent to successful authors.
You may choose this option if you don't have a specific preference and would like to considered for either an oral or poster presentation.
Themes
The following themes are broad and inclusive. Submitters were asked to nominate their primary theme during the submission process. A secondary theme could also be chosen, if appropriate.
