Limited oral presentation opportunities have been reserve in the program for groundbreaking research, expected to be of substantive international clinical or scientific impact. The call for abstracts for these two presentation slots are now open.
Please review the below instructions and details in the abstract submission portal before preparing and submitting a late-breaking abstract.
As a Presenting Author you may submit a maximum of two abstracts for consideration. If you are already a presenting author for two abstracts that have been accepted into the Congress program then you cannot be listed as a presenting author on a late-breaking abstract. There is no limit on the number of abstracts where you may appear as a co-author.
Abstracts cannot contain work that has already been published.
All abstracts will undergo a competitive blind review process.

Presentation Type
Late-breaking abstracts can be submitted for oral presentation only which is to be delivered by one presenting author in a themed session for approximately 10 minutes.
You may choose this option if you don't have a specific preference and would like to considered for either an oral or poster presentation.

The following themes are broad and inclusive and may assist with guidance for your submission. You will be asked to nominate your primary theme during the submission process.
The Congress welcomes submissions from any other themes not mentioned above.
Abstract Template
Please click on the button below to download and save the abstract submission template. Guidelines for how abstracts should be formatted are included on the template. Incomplete or incorrect submissions will be returned for you to update and then re-submit.
Abstracts will be blind reviewed so should not include be any identifying information within the abstract template. You will be able to upload information on the authors of your abstract during the abstract submission process.
Abstract Submission Amendments
Once submitted, abstracts can be amended via the portal up to the late-breaking abstract submission deadline of 5pm AEDST on Friday 14 March 2025.
Abstract Notification and Acceptance
The details provided as the author contact should be for the nominated main contact for your abstract. Communication relating to the submission will be directed to this person and they should in turn distribute to all co-authors where necessary.
Abstract review results will be communicated to the author contact on Friday 4 April 2025.
Acceptance of offers are required to be advised to the Congress Office by no later than 5pm AEDST on Friday 11 April 2025.
Author Registration
The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the Congress. Similarly, no presenter fee is paid to successful participants.
Presentations must be delivered in person and the ability and willingness to present in Sydney will be a condition of acceptance in the program.
The nominated presenter of successful submissions must register to attend the Congress before 5pm AEDST on Friday 11 April 2025 in order for the presentation to be included in the Congress program. Should you subsequently wish to change the presenting author to another co-author, please advise the Congress Office in advance.
