As the first official social event of the Congress, the Welcome Reception will provide you with the opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of colleagues and friends.

Following the day of sessions, join your fellow EMCR’s for a relaxing drink at the nearby Café Del Mar, overlooking Darling Harbour. This event has been arranged to follow the day’s Congress sessions and before you may be head out for dinner, as a great chance to meet new colleagues and make valuable connections. 

For reference, Early Career is defined as:

• For Clinicians and Allied Health Professionals (eg physiotherapists/dieticians/psychologists): within six years of independent practice (full time equivalent)
• For Scientists (including Social Scientists): within eight years of their PhD award (this is from the time of the PhD ‘Viva’/’defense’) or equivalent professional training (full time equivalent)

Cost: Included for all full Early/Mid Career Researcher registrations. Additional tickets cannot be purchased for this function.
